John Dill

John Dill is a multidisciplinary artist, graphic designer, and famed DJ whose distinctive illustration style has never been shown to the world quite like this. In this deeply personal conversation, John traces the winding path that shaped his art and identity — from a life-threatening eye injury in Bali that left him temporarily blind and rebuilding his vision from scratch, to a mysterious, faceless entity he encountered deep in the desert at Burning Man that would go on to define his entire visual language.

John opens up about burning out after a decade of New York nightlife, becoming a self-described "hermit," and the years of meditation, plant medicine, and daily drawing practice that helped him process trauma and discover a creative voice he never knew he had. He also shares stories from his upcoming Burning Man art installation — a 10-foot wooden keyhole sculpture 13 years in the making — plus the chaos, humor, and heart behind a life spent chasing flow state, whether behind the decks or with a pen in hand. John is also an incredible videographer who has shot and directed many of my music videos!
